·       Using focused light, the laser gently removes the top layer of the wood to create a clean, detailed engraving that follows the natural grain. Because no pressure is applied, the integrity of the board remains intact — only the design is revealed.

      What to Expect with Your Engraving

·       Your engraving will appear slightly darker than the surrounding wood, with natural variation in tone depending on the grain. This is normal and expected with real hardwood and contributes to the handcrafted look.

·       Before engraving, we review each design to ensure it’s properly sized and positioned for the best balance and readability.

·       Hand-Finished After Engraving

After engraving, each board is lightly finished and inspected by hand. This step smooths the surface, enhances contrast, and ensures the board is ready for everyday use or gifting
